About the event
Therapeutic aquatic group exercise program focused on recovery fitness
• Geared towards Veterans and active-duty military
• Class is held in the Warm Water Pool on Wednesdays from 11:30 am-12:30 pm
• Maintained at an average of 88 degrees
• 3.5'-5' in depth
• Easy entry steps
• Chair lift if needed
Our highly trained staff are certified in Aquatic Fitness and/or Aquatic Rehabilitation and Land Fitness. Rehabilitation specialists are AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association) and ATRI (Aquatic Therapy & Rehab Institute) Certified. All exercises are adapted to the fitness needs and abilities of participants and may include:
• Deep water running (cadence training)
• Shallow water walking/running
• Core strength
• Balance
• Upper & lower extremity strength training
• Agility
• Plyometrics
Mindfulness and relaxationWarrior UH20 may help improve health-related goals including:
• Improved fitness/physical conditioning
• Pain management
• Improved function/ability to do more
• Become more active
• Improve quality of life
